I'd like to have it updated so I know for sure. I think this may be part of the weird issues I'm having with booting & crashes. Funny thing is, Windows 7 says it's up to date, but the one driver finder program I did use says it's ancient. All power options are set to performance settings.Can anyone help me finally get this driver updated? I'm sick of searching and only getting links to download driver finders that want money to get me the right update. It is very predictable - great sound for about 5 minutes then garbled scratchy noise. I am also having problems with a turtle beach audio advantage micro usb sound card that is supposedly vista compatible, but when outputting to the optical toslink spdif connector I will get stuttering and skipping issues that occur after about 5 minutes of audio playback no matter what source the audio is, whether from a video, media center or an audio player application. This is an emachines w4630 and gateway tried to help but they pointed to a driver for one of their other gateway laptops, but not the exact chipset and it did not work and there was no driver listed for this laptop. This can occur because of system instability or a lack of system resources. The print spooler cannot start because the PrinterBusEnumerator could not start. I would like to go back to the original driver that was installed with vista - the microsoft signed driver, but now it is not listed as an option when I try to update the driver. Is there a recommended chipset driver for this? I have used all the drivers I can find for vista - ati's website says it has a driver but when I install it all it installs is the ATI CIM - I can manually update the driver and install the latest version, but I get issues with secondary vga detection being flaky and issues with standby - resuming. I have the same chipset and specs except Turion-64 Mobile MT-32, I tried updating to the windows update driver for ati xpress 200m and have had issues with standby and a black screen after booting.
